The Last E-mail... 12/26/16

Hello everyone!

I don´t have much time today, so I´m sorry if I was not able to respond your e-mails. I´ll respond Wednesday ;)

I can hardly believe that I´m writing my last general e-mail from the mission field. These past 18 months have been the craziest, most difficult, most exhausting, longest, shortest, most rewarding, most amazing, most life-changing months of my life. I am so glad I decided to serve a mission. And I owe a lot to all the people who supported me in this decision. You´re incredible!

For this last entry, I would like to share with you all the testimony that I have of my Savior and of this Work. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that He loves each and every one of us. He volunteered Himself to be our Savior, and I know He would´ve done everything He did, all the suffering and pain, even if it was only to save one of God´s children. I know that it must´ve been really hard for our Heavenly Father to let His Only Begotten suffer and die for us, but that it was part of the plan that He created for the happiness of all of His children. I know that Heavenly Father loves us. Every day that the sun shines or the rain falls is a manifestation of that love. I know that because He loves us, He restored The Church of Jesus Christ here on the earth in our day, the same Church that Jesus Christ established and organized when He was here among us. I know that God speaks to His living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, as He spoke to His prophets of old, and that if we follow His counsel, we will never be led astray.

I know that it is through the small and simple things like daily scripture study and sincere prayer and frequent church and Temple attendance that we can feel close to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and have Their Spirit in our lives. I know that God works through covenants and ordinances and that when we strive to make and keep those sacred covenants that He asks of us, we will be able to one-day return to live with Him and our families in eternal happiness. It seems like a lot to do, but God has given us all the tools we need to accomplish the grand Plan that He has for our lives. It´s enough to have the desire to follow Jesus Christ and try our best, and His Perfect Atonement makes up for what we lack.

I know that God is the Head of this Church, and that He leads and guides the missionaries to the people who are searching for the things that I know. There are people searching. And the Good Shepherd is finding them through His authorized servants. If you´re one of those sheep who are searching for the peace and happiness that can come through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I encourage you with all my heart to accept a visit from the missionaries. They are young men and women like me that can answer all of your questions and help you find a better way of life. You can ask for a visit or even just read about our beliefs by visiting mormon.org.

If you are already a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I encourage you to remember why. And how the Gospel has changed and blessed your life. And then to think of someone else who could also benefit. Don´t be afraid to share what you have; you could change the lives of the people you love. My life was changed by this Gospel and by my experience as a missionary and representative of Jesus Christ.

I write these things with all the love that I have, and I know that they are true, in the name of my Savior, Brother, and Friend, Jesus Christ. Amen.
